Drone Perspective Ltd respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data. AeroPlan IQ is a planning and decision-support tool only; it does not approve flights, grant permission, replace official checks or confirm that an operation is legal.

Drone Perspective Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this policy unless acting for a client under a specific written agreement. We do not publish our company address for operational and security reasons.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to website visitors, people who contact us, prospective and existing clients, suppliers and business contacts, people whose property or location may appear in drone imagery, AeroPlan IQ users, and anyone submitting information through forms, email, phone or social media.
3. Personal data we may collect
Depending on your interaction, we may collect contact details, business and project information, site addresses, access and safety requirements, inspection notes, imagery, reports, quotes, invoices and communication history.
AeroPlan IQ may process account IDs, login information, subscription status, settings, operator and aircraft profiles, selected or device location, Fly Check records, weather and UAS/FRZ awareness records, NOTAM helper text, Operation Packs, RAMS, Site Surveys, Crew Briefings, incident records, job references, notes and Remote Pilot decisions.
Technical data may include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, app version, diagnostics, pages or features accessed and access times. Payment providers may supply status, customer or subscription IDs, plan type and limited billing details. We do not store full card numbers.
4. How we collect data
We may collect data when you contact us, request a quote, book a service, provide site or safety information, take part in a drone operation, create or use an AeroPlan IQ account, save operational records, make a payment, or submit feedback or support requests. Systems may also generate technical, diagnostic and security logs.
5. Why we use personal data
We use data to respond to enquiries; plan and deliver drone services; manage safe, lawful operations; provide AeroPlan IQ functionality; administer payments and subscriptions; improve services; maintain security; and meet accounting, tax, insurance, regulatory, audit and record-keeping obligations.
6. Lawful bases
Under UK data protection law, our lawful bases may include contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, consent and, in rare safety-critical situations, vital interests. The basis depends on the purpose and circumstances of the processing.
7. Client confidentiality and project data
Client project information, site details, imagery, reports, access arrangements and operational records are treated as confidential. We do not publish, sell or use identifiable client material for marketing without permission, except where disclosure is required to deliver the service or meet a legal, safety, insurance or professional obligation.
8. Drone imagery and third parties
Operations may incidentally capture buildings, land, vehicles, equipment or people. We plan operating areas, avoid unnecessary capture where possible, limit imagery to the agreed purpose, respect private areas and retain imagery only where there is a client, business, safety or legal reason. Clients must have appropriate authority to commission work and notify relevant people where required.
9. AeroPlan IQ location data
Location data may be used when you search for or select a site, use current location, create a Fly Check, or prepare operational records. It supports map, weather and UAS/FRZ context. Device permission can be refused or changed. Location awareness does not approve a flight or confirm legal compliance.
10. NOTAM, FRZ and awareness data
AeroPlan IQ may let users enter or record NOTAM briefing text, UAS/FRZ awareness information, acknowledgements and decisions. This supports an evidence trail but is not official NOTAM retrieval and does not replace authoritative-source verification.
11. Who we may share data with
Where necessary, data may be shared with hosting, database, payment, app distribution, email, storage or analytics providers; accountants, insurers, professional advisers, subcontractors and clients; or regulators and law enforcement. Providers may include Supabase, Stripe, Google Play and equivalent services. We share data only for a valid operational, contractual, legal or business purpose.
12. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we aim to use recognised safeguards such as adequacy arrangements or contractual protections.
13. How long we keep data
We retain data only for as long as necessary. General enquiries may be held for up to 24 months; quotes, invoices and accounting records usually up to six years; client project files up to six years after completion; and imagery normally 12–36 months unless a longer client, legal, insurance or dispute reason applies.
AeroPlan IQ account and operational records are retained while an account remains active or as needed for service, audit, safety, legal or dispute reasons. Incident and safety records may be retained for up to six years or longer where required. Data no longer needed is deleted, anonymised or restricted where appropriate.
14. Security
We use proportionate measures including access controls, secure hosting, encryption in transit where available, restricted access, careful file handling and trusted service providers. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
15. Marketing communications
We may contact business contacts or clients about relevant services where there is a legitimate reason or consent. You can opt out through info@drone-perspective.com. We do not sell mailing lists.
16. Cookies and local storage
Our website and application may use cookies, local storage or similar technology for sign-in, settings, functionality, security, performance and basic usage understanding. Consent will be requested for non-essential cookies where legally required.
17. Children
Drone Perspective services and AeroPlan IQ are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly target or collect children’s data.
18. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent. Contact info@drone-perspective.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Our services may link to third parties. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; review their policies before providing personal data.
